Celeste Alamillo
she/her/hers
Program Coordinator

Celeste Alamillo is a proud Chicana social worker, born and raised in Colorado.

She first encountered youth leadership programs as a teen herself, through the nonprofit organization Building Bridges. Building Bridges paved the way for her journey as a leader and empowered her to reimagine what a Mexican American girl from Aurora could do. That program inspired her to not only explore her self-identity, but also seek leadership in her community. This mission led her to the social work profession, and she graduated with a bachelors in social work in spring 2023. She spent a few years at Building Bridges facilitating workshops and empowering young activists as the Program Specialist, and then the Program Coordinator. She also gained experience designing curriculum for their Transform program. Following the closure of Building Bridges, Celeste moved into the Program Coordinator role at CYC. Celeste currently is working on getting her master’s degree in social work at MSU Denver.

Celeste has a passion for all things pop culture, especially Marvel movies. She enjoys reading, listening to music of all genres, and collecting Funko Pops!
